Spec rankings
The strongest specs in Forever
Our best read on the strongest damage and healing specs before real logs exist: Classic log data, adjusted for Forever's talent, spell and racial changes as the BlizzCon demo showed them, then checked against the demo meters.

What the demo meters showed
Damage meters read frame by frame from BlizzCon demo streams: premade level 38 to 40 characters, about 30 players in five groups. Most rows show a class but not a spec, tanks and healers are mixed in, and no healing meter was ever on screen.
What demo players said
Reports from people who played or watched the demo, as they said them. Not checked against footage.
How these estimates are made
Classic log data for each spec at the same level: top-10% parses. Those include Classic world buffs and consumables, which flatter melee.
Every Forever talent, spell, stat and racial change the demo data showed, weighed by judgement. Most talent values past rank one were estimates then. The beta client now has every rank and its rating tables, but the scores have not been redone against it yet; hit caps are still unpublished.
Against the demo meters beside this: small samples, fixed premade gear, and player skill and pull size matter more than spec there.
"Strong" and "weak" count what demo players said about each spec. Confidence rises only where data agrees; most specs are still low.
